Personal Revival

In midst of the stillness the world has been experiencing and the collapse of things that have always seemed dependable, Jane Hansen Hoyt speaks of the solid foundation of all that is real, and never changes. Jesus.

Psalm 22:7
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him.

  • What are some things you "worshipped" before the pandemic, that caused you to re-evaluate where your hope was built?
  • How have you experienced personal revival?

I had a little thought or a quote that kind of goes along with what my dad shared with me the other day. Interesting cause it was from Hulk Hogan, so it sounds funny but he said “in three short months, just like he did with plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship.” God said, “do you want to worship athletes? I'll shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians? I'll shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors? I'll shut down theaters. You want to worship money? I'll shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship me? I’ll make it where you can't go to church.”

“My people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways and I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin will heal their land” he said. Maybe we don't need a vaccine. Maybe we need to take this time of isolation, from the distractions of the world, and have a personal revival where we focus on the only thing in the world that really matters: Jesus. He is our life. Everything - he is the foundation of everything. Every step we take is a step of faith and Jesus will meet every step towards himself. Every step of faith - if it's little, if it's broken ,if it's fearful, if it's uncertain, but you take that step towards him like a child, he'll meet you there and the reality begins to form because he is the foundation of everything.
