Given as Bread

In this time of rising tensions and division, God has prepared a people that can be given as Bread to the world. A Bread that sustains and satisfies in a deep way.

John 6:35
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

Since Jesus is the bread of life and He dwells in us, others get to partake in Him as bread through us. Apart from Him, others cannot experience the fullness of Jesus, and we get to be examples of life sustained by Him alone.

What does it mean to “be given as bread to the world”? Oh my goodness, that touches my heart in such a deep way because it means that we have allowed him to arise in our lives. Just as bread has to rise to become that perfect shape to be baked, to be eaten and partaken of, and I believe in this time, God has prepared a people that can be given as bread to the people around us. That can be given as bread to the world. Bread is something that sustains and satisfies every person in a deep way, and I believe God has formed us to be a people that are given as bread to bring that Spirit, not soul, spirit satisfaction in the people of the world. They will hear Jesus, they will feel him as we speak. It's not something human, it's something divine. Bread for the world. That's amazing. Lord, bring it forth in us, in your way.
