He Supports You

You might feel that God is focused on how you are handling turmoil and change in your life, but rest assured He is looking at Himself in you. He supports you.

John 15:5-7
Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

The Father promises that He will be our provider and supporter - and all we have to do is live our life in relationship with Him! He will meet our every need and desire in a way that only He can, even if it doesn't make sense to us.

  • Have you experienced a situation where everything seemed to be stripped away, but Jesus still remained?
  • Are there areas of your life that need to be more deeply rooted in Jesus and who He is, so that when things are stripped away, you remain unwavering?

Again I’ll reference the times in which we live and sometimes we feel a little unsure, unsteady, off-kilter, but we don't need to. Again, I’m going to reference an old hymn that you'll recognize as I read one of the verses: “my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness”. Listen to this verse: “his oath his covenant his blood support me in the whelming flood”. Maybe it's just a whelming flood of emotion within you, or rearranging your thought life, but it's a flood and it feels overwhelming. So let me say this again. His oath, his covenant, his blood support me in the overwhelming or the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay. He is the key to everything- to peace, to joy, to walking here on the earth as his holy and righteous representative. You think, “I’m not holy, I’m not righteous. He says differently. You look at the turmoil or things in your own life, but God looks at the Christ within you, and he's pleased. He is the one we stand upon in difficult times, in changing times. Our feet are planted on solid ground, on the solid rock that is Christ Jesus. It’s amazing, it's wonderful, it's the way that he has provided for us to walk here in the earth through difficult things. God bless you today. It’s gonna be okay.
