Doing a Reset

This week, Jane Hansen Hoyt speaks of a certain quietness being experienced in the world when the productiveness of life has seemingly stopped. In this video, Jane helps us to refocus our view and see what God is doing in this time.

Romans 8:24-25
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

The standard of living we are held to as Christians is completely countercultural to the world we live in. Asking the Holy Spirit to convict and bring to light areas where we have fallen in step with the world is an important reset that must be done to ensure we are in tune with Jesus.

  • Even when we know that living the "exchanged life" results in peace and satisfaction, why is it so hard to fall into the rush of the world?
  • How has God helped you wait & be patient for what you "do not yet have" and live fully while in the waiting?
